      Staffing Manager-OfficeTeam Interview

      7 Feb 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Robert Half

      Interview

I had a FaceTime meting with a recruiter for them to help me find a job. I was interested in going into recruiting and they said that they had an internal opening for their team. In the FaceTime call I then met with the Director and the Senior VP of OfficeTeam briefly. We then scheduled a time for me to come into the office to meet with them the next week. I went into their office and was asked a bunch of questions. It seems like they really wanted to sell me on the role and it felt slightly uncomfortable. After the interview when they were walking me out they mentioned that I could come in and job shadow. The next day I sent a thank you email and said I was interested in doing the shadowing. They responded quickly with a date and time. I went in for the shadowing and it seemed like a good team environment. Some people looked like they really did not want to be there. I shadowed for 2.5 hours, was still interested in the job but hesitant if it would be the right work environment for me. Met with the Director before I left and asked a few questions and he said for me to get back to them if I want to continue the conversation. The next day I sent an email saying I was still interested in continuing the conversation, then there was silence. No one responded. I waited a few days then called the Director. He asked if I had spoken to the Senior VP, I said no. He said he would circle back with the team and get back to me by the end of the day or the next day. Radio silence. Sent one more email saying I was still interested and nothing. At that point I decided to move on. It was frustrating that I went through so many steps just to be ghosted in the end.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Robert Half (San Diego, CA) in Dec 2019

      Interview

The whole process took exactly 2 weeks from initial app to signing a contract. I applied via email and was told the position had already been filled, but the recruiter set up a 45-minute facetime interview with me to chat about other positions that might be a good fit. She passed my resume up, then the next day her manager called me for a 45-minute initial interview. I was brought in 2 days later to meet with him, then his OfficeTeam counterpart, then the person directly under her - it took about 3.5 hours total. The following week I did a job shadow "Bullpen" and was introduced to a few other office managers. 2 days later I was brought into a final interview with the regional office manager. 3 days later I was brought in to discuss an offer.
