      Recruiter Interview

      16 Aug 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Robert Half (New York, NY) in Aug 2019

      Interview

Robert Half will always be the one to reach out to you for a position and tell you you are a good fit. They'll reach out to you through LinkedIn or email you. They'll be very responsive in the beginning leading up to the phone interview or in person interview. They will butter you up. Once you get to the phone interview stage or in person interview, they will ask you standard interview questions. They'll tell you they will follow up afterwards or they'll tell you to let them know if you're still interested. What I did and what most people I know did was send a standard follow up email after the phone or in person interview to see how it went and to see if you move forward. Out of 5 people, who I talked to who also interviewed through or for Robert Half, we all never heard anything. Not an email. Not a text. Not a phone call. No feedback. No message on LinkedIn. You might hear back six months later from a recruiter about a different position to see if you're interested but do you really want to take PTO for an interview with a company that ghosted you the first time? There is no courtesy whatsoever as far as communication. You are just a number. Think of it this way...if they treat you like this during the honeymoon stage think about how it will be once you're committed. The company has really high turnover for a reason. I didn't think about it that much when I interviewed but now I understand that one of the main issues is communication. What attracted me to the company was how they seemed like a reputable company that's been around for years and seems to know what they're doing in the industry. The company also pays really well if you work directly for them. But after hearing of others' encounters with Robert Half and after my own experiences, I highly advise you not to waste your time. You are more valuable than being a tally for their count. I hope this will save a lot of you some time and troubles.

      Interview

I had quite a few shorter conversations where I got to learn about different teams and practice groups. There was a ton of transparency in the process and I felt like I really got to know the company.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Robert Half in Dec 2025

      Interview

Had an initial call with a recruiter, she seemed brand new. Had another call with a Account Manager. Have followed up for the past 2 weeks with ZERO response. I would expect something, it doesn't matter if you're not moving forward not responding at all is unprofessional. I don't know if this is how they deal with clients but very unprofessional. Don't waste your time.
