My experience with the recruitment process at Revolut was notably subpar and left a strong impression of inefficiency and disorganization.
The recruiter seemed unprepared and gave the impression of not having reviewed my CV before the call. This was evident as they repeatedly asked the same questions that could be answered by simply looking at my CV, which was both frustrating and time-consuming.
At the end of the initial call, I was given the option to complete a home task or participate in a live coding interview. I chose the live interview, which was scheduled promptly within the same week.
The live interview was structured around a specific task with two follow-up questions. According to the interviewer, I successfully solved the given problems, and we were able to finish the interview five minutes ahead of schedule. Unfortunately, I wasn't given a chance to ask any questions to the interviewer.
Despite the positive feedback during the interview, I received a rejection email a few days later. The email lacked any detailed explanation, which was unexpected and quite disconcerting. I reached out to the recruiter seeking more information regarding the rejection but did not receive any response. This lack of communication further amplified my frustration.
Conclusion:
The overall experience gave me a strong impression of wasted time and a significant lack of structured processes within Revolut’s recruitment approach. The initial unpreparedness of the recruiter, combined with the absence of feedback, indicates a need for substantial improvement in their hiring procedures.
