      Talent Acquisition Interview

      21 Sept 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Red Hat (London, England) in Apr 2014

      Interview

long, poor communication. inconsistent, no feedback and counter to the culture being presented. Interesting company with open and direct culture aiming for best in class. Interview process was a contradiction to this.

      Talent Acquisition Interview

      21 Jan 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Raleigh, NC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Red Hat (Raleigh, NC) in Dec 2015

      Interview

I applied on their website and a couple days later was notified by email that their Talent Acquisition Manager wanted to schedule a phone interview. I had it scheduled for a Friday afternoon. 15 minutes past the scheduled time with no phone call, I sent an email to the T.A. Manager who scheduled with me. A few minutes later I received a text message from her asking to reschedule to the following day which was that Saturday. I agreed. Our scheduled time on Saturday came and went and 15 minutes later, I texted her. She asked to push our interview to an hour later. An hour and 15 minutes later, she FINALLY calls me and says she was busy doing housework. Really?! I've been waiting since Friday morning to have our interview and she doesn't bother to remember and to at least somewhat prepare for the interview she pushed back twice to Saturday afternoon? The interview went smoothly but I was so jarred by the consistent rescheduling of it that I didn't do as well as I had hoped. I would have loved to work for this amazing company but their T.A. department cannot seem to get it together. If you have candidates taking the time and effort to apply to these positions, all we ask for in return is the same respect and decency we give you. I realize now that it just wasn't meant to be because I know I can't work under so much disorganization.

Hello - We are so sorry about the negative experience! Thank you for taking the time to share these details. Although our recruiters do manage a high volume of applications, it's important to us that each candidate is treated with courtesy. We are reviewing our approach to interviews and phone screens to develop clearer guidelines, so that everyone's time and effort are respected throughout the process. Again, thank you for the feedback.
