I expected to talk about the position and how I'd be a good fit, but instead the entire time the interviewer threw odd questions at me about a scenario regarding credit. Was awkward and left me feeling unsure afterwards. Not so sure I'd accept even if I did recieve an offer.

No clue. Even though they spent 5 whole minutes explaining the question
The interview: 30-minute case study with a Senior Data Scientist about Credit card profitability calculation, basic arithmetic. The math was straightforward, conversation was smooth, and the interviewer described additional interview rounds ahead.
But an automated Workday rejection arrived minutes after the interview ended. I suspected the interview was a formality to satisfy a PERM (green card) process for an existing employee, not a genuine hiring effort.

The first stage went well - statistics, analytics, and modeling type of questions. I asked for prior information before the interview though on what it would entail. the interviewer was nice and gave room for questions and time to figure out answers and I thought it went well only to receive an email "thanking me for going through their stages" when I I did just one alone.

Two rounds of technical interviews. Didn't let you introduce yourself, jump straight into the questions. The first interview asked about machine learning project workflow. The second round with the manager went about probability and statistics questions, followed by a case study.
