The process was lengthy and required a significant time investment. It included an initial HR screening, a detailed assignment that took several hours to complete, a technical interview with a senior team member, and a final round with the founder.
The role was consistently presented as a full-time position throughout all stages, including the job posting and interviews. After the final interview, I was told I would hear back within a few days, but there was no communication for over two weeks. During that time, the same role continued to be reposted on LinkedIn.
After approximately 1.5 months, I received an offer but it was for a fractional/contract position on an hourly basis, which was a complete shift from the originally advertised full-time role.
When I raised this, I was told this is their internal approach and that candidates may transition to full-time later. However, this was never communicated at any stage of the process.
Overall, this created a clear misalignment between what was presented initially and what was offered at the end, especially after multiple rounds and a time-intensive assignment.
Happy to provide further context if needed.
