I applied through university. I interviewed at Plastic Technologies
Interview
Easy going interview, with very basic questions because they understand students do not know much yet. No tough questions given, but you need questions to ask them or else you won’t get very far. They gave a tour of the facility after the interview.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Plastic Technologies (Holland, OH) in Jan 2008
Interview
The interview started with an introduction by the referring employee.
Then came the meeting with the founder and his wife (also the chief administrative officer).
Then a round robin across 6 Vice-Presidents.
These are very risk-adverse, engineering/science types that don't place value in business or sales acumen.
This is changing with senior management's emphasis on sales, high margin projects, revitalization of 'brand', and global expansion.

Question 1
We don't like consultants. How do you think you can overcome that bias?
