      Sales Development Representative Interview

      29 Mar 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Seattle, WA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at PitchBook (Seattle, WA)

      Interview

2-step interview process. First with SDR managers, then with a higher-up sales director. The first one was a lot of standard questions about my background and why I want to work for them. Then they asked me to choose something I am passionate about and sell it to them. Be confident and ask questions about the person's needs and what's relevant to them, and then close. I honestly think I didn't get the job because I was a little sick and didn't focus well in the second interview. The managers I met with were all really young, which isn't a problem, but they seemed pretty inexperienced and a little immature. The two SDR managers had some banter between them that was lighthearted, but it seemed like there was some underlying tension between them. Best advice is to close at the end of the interview and really sell yourself. Ask company-specific questions. Also, do your homework and show that you're passionate about the product.

It’s been super easy, moved quickly and so far so Good! Questions aren’t too tough, they just want to get a sense of your Personality and ability to make a pitch. Work on the pitch a lot- that almost messed me up! Ask a lot of questions when you are pitching- that is what they want to see!
