I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Pets at Home (Bury, North West England, England) in Jan 2022
Interview
Firstly I did a trial shift which involved serving customers on the tills this gave me a hands on experience and gave me a look into what a day in the workplace would look like then I did some unpacking and stacking on shelves moving the dog food to the shelves and the small animal food to there shelves this was great because it showed me what to expect and what to do. Finally I had my interview where I was asked questions and I tried to answer them the best I could.

Great experience from start to finish. I was shown around the store, got hands on with cleaning a few fish tanks with a pump, I got to serve a couple of customers and see the lovely animals. I then went into a room in the back where I was interviewed by a lovely lady who made made me feel very welcomed and comfortable.

Interview
Very friendly and transparent. Work trial was about 30 mins long and you're assessed on your initiative, communication and what questions you ask the colleague on your work trial. I received a call within a week of interviewing.
