I was contacted through a network referral. It took three weeks from the initial contact to respond to email questions, repeatedly reach out by phone and email, book an in-person interview, and complete an in-person interview. The woman who interviewed me spent a lot of time talking about the drawbacks of the position: no position title and no clear role or area of responsibilities, required willingness to let things go incomplete, and she even grimaced when I spoke about how I like to stay organized (e.g. morning rituals, to-do lists, and calendars). She also wanted to try out a new hire for a month before deciding, but didn't want the person to continue to look for an alternative position during that time. Overall, I didn't feel like this was a good fit for me.
