I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Park Place Technologies in Aug 2024
Interview
An initial phone screening with a recruiter followed by a Teams interview.
The recruiter and the meeting invitation noted only one interviewer, but there was a panel of three, which out the gate created the impression of an ambush. The job listing did not explicitly mention an experience requirement; it stated that technical qualification in computing would be sufficient. I met all the job requirements as stated in the listing. Regardless the interviewers consistently harped about my lack of experience and questioned why I thought I could perform the duties. They seemed confused not only that I had gotten past the phone screen, but didn't seem to think I had any business applying for the position at all.
They gave the impression of interviewers who hadn't ever read their own job listing, who had already decided I wasn't a good fit based purely on my resume, and yet proceeded with a long, stressful, and pointless interview anyway.
The finishing touch: they promised a response within one week of the interview, but ghosted me.
