There was a phone interview first, after which we determined that we'd be moving forward in the process. I applied to one job first, so they sent me some materials to write and edit copy for before returning to them (after a few days). They called back saying they liked what I'd done, and then we set up a second interview in person. We met at a coffee shop and chatted for about 30 minutes. They then offered the job!

The interview process took about a month or 4 weeks with the exception of the week between Christmas and New Year's. The steps were: Phone interview with the recruiter, hiring manager interview, peer interview, and final writing assessment.
