I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PMG (New York, NY) in Mar 2022
Interview
Interview process in total took 3 weeks. I appreciated how quickly the team could move once the recruiter came back from a few days OOO.
First round was a recruiter phone screen.
Second round was a call with the hiring manager - she was very nice, but definitely had a list of questions she was reading through.
Third round was a mini power day which was pretty awesome- it was two 30 minute calls. One was with a solutions lead and engineer, and the second was with the head of Data and director of product. Same as before, folks were nice, but all the conversations were generic.
Final round interview was a 30 minute call with their head of tech.

Question 1
First round:
- Basics.
- What do you know about the company?
- What are you looking for in your next role? etc.
Second round:
- How do you think about prioritization and managing tech debt?
- How would you go about learning a new industry?
- Talk about products you've built from ideation to release. Be able to speak to them in detail.
Second round:
- Talk about stakeholder management
- Talk about resolving conflict between eng, stakeholders, design, product
- Be able to speak to the technical aspects of a product you built - type of API, frameworks, languages used, contingency planning (like what if a 3rd party API has unexpected downtime), etc.
Final round: (This is where I didn't do my best).
- BEWARE: Recruiter said the interviewer "will be asking you more about your PM experience, so nothing specific to prepare for this round." DO NOT take this at face value! I was asked an MVP case question.
