I applied online. I interviewed at Octopus Energy in Jan 2022
Interview
I applied online and received a 1st stage 1:1 interview. It was roughly half an hour and typical customer service questions. The interviewer was nice enough and I was told I would be contacted in the next week about whether I got the job or feedback for what I could do to improve. I was never contanced.
I waited a couple of weeks because I thought it could have something to do with the rapid growth of the company. Eventually, I accepted I probably didn't get the job, but I was still curious about the feedback, which I thought could help me moving forward. Again, I received no reply.
I can handle rejection and criticism, but there is nothing more infuriating than being left on read by a potential employer, especially when you're told you will receive a call regardless of whether you do get the job.
It's a shame because I did hours of research into this company and what they're doing genuinely seems interesting and innovative. I hope I am the only one who had/has this experience.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Octopus Energy (London, England) in Jul 2025
Interview
Great feedback at the end. First few stages were very quick and heard about next stages straight away. Final stage then didn't hear for a week or so at the end which kind of inferred I didn't get the job.
