I applied for the Business Development Associate Intern position at O&A Healthcare Solutions, particularly because the company was founded by UCLA alumni. As a fellow Bruin, I anticipated a level of professionalism and mutual respect. Sadly, I was mistaken. After submitting my resume, they promptly sent me an application form and requested my availability. Given they had already reviewed my resume, I assumed the next step would be scheduling a first-round interview. I returned the application within 24 hours, despite their 48-hour window. It's ironic how they demand promptness from candidates but can't extend the same courtesy. For two weeks, I was met with silence. Thanks to Mixmax, I could see them opening every one of my follow-up emails but choosing to blatantly ignore them. After my final attempt to get a response, they replied within three minutes with a generic, ChatGPT-generated rejection. The insincerity was palpable. O&A Healthcare Solutions' treatment of candidates is disgraceful. It's not about the rejection; it's about their pathetic communication, lack of transparency, and downright rude behaviour. Needless to say, I'm deeply disappointed in the conduct of a company founded by fellow Bruins. Future applicants, consider this a warning: steer clear unless you want your time and efforts to be met with utter disregard.
