Surely of the best interview experiences I have had. TA was very pleasant and transparent and kept me informed throughout the entire process. All of the interviewers (engineering manager and devs) were very down-to-earth and easy to talk to. They quickly identified my strengths and weaknesses and kept the challenge solving pretty fluid.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Nutanix (Belgrade, Central Serbia)
Interview
I interviewed at Nutanix for a position in CDP team in Belgrade, Serbia, in December of 2023. The interview process was very smooth and professional. The first step was a call with the recruiter, where we discussed the role and my background. It was then followed up by 3 technical interviews, where the first one was coding, and the other two were system design. The overall process was interesting and executed in a professional and tidy way.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The first one included 2 Leetcode easy algo questions, followed up by some Operating Systems and C++ questions. The second interview was an interview with the hiring manager, where we discussed the role in more detail, and talked about my previous experience. Then we continued to implement a part of the solution for the design of their de-scoped, in-house storage solution. The third interview was an interview with a Senior member of Technical Staff, where the task was to design a DBMS for unstructured data, with a replication factor of 3. We then discussed the potential drawbacks and trade-offs of the solution.
