The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nielsen in Dec 2011
Interview
The typical telephone screen was followed up by an assessment test in person. The aptitude test was pretty much as it has been described here -- personally, I found it VERY challenging, in particular in the time frame that was given. In addition to knowing percentage questions, make sure to review a marketing textbook and work through some written test involving break even analyses, etc. (as others have pointed out).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you advise a client that wants to introduce a new product into a market?
A recruiter started with a quick phone chat to get to know ,e better. Asked about my background, experience, and why I'm interested in the role. Got a few behavioral questions to see if my values aligned with Nielsen’s culture.
An interview followed by an in person case study. The process was fairly straight forward but the case is not easy if you are not an analytical person to begin with.
I applied online. I interviewed at Nielsen (Kuala Lumpur)
Interview
It very easy. Basic question are asked. They ask what did I work as in previous company and how I can contribute to current role. Ask why I want to join the company.
