I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Neiman Marcus (Houston, TX) in Feb 2012
Interview
was fine. People who interviewing are usually nice and profeccional. Although they still make an impression that you will have a good money working for Neiman. It looks like you have all the opportunity to sell as much as you can and have a good money for comission. In reality it doesnt look that sunny. I ended up with no more then 1300 a month, working a lot and being super tired after every working day. Important thing is also which department you will get into. I was not lucky, so, may be other people in the store have a better chance to make their money in Neiman. Dress department just is not that place

Question 1
Return policy. No matter how hard you worked to make a sale, when people return it - they took it back from your comissions. So, you can never know how much you get in return and how much money you can count on. Which is not fare I think
This was a virtual interview with recruiter. The next step would have been with a local sales manager but our schedules did not align so I did not continue the process.

Question 1
Can you tell us about your experience satisfying customers?
Simple and straightforward, questions about my experience, why I want to work there, etc. Then, more specific questions about my sales background. There were no trick questions really. It was just straight to the point.
I had a virtual interview with a recruiter after applying and invited to online hiring fair. Discussed background, asked about commitment and availability as well as applicable skills and background. Was looking for a seasonal position, and none were available yet.
