I applied for a student worker role at Mozilla Berlin. After a day I got an email asking for a motivational letter and a list of site projects I did. I immediately answered and got invited to an online interview a week later. The first interview was short (about 20 minutes). I got asked about my programming background, my background in the rust language, my side projects and some more "abstract" questions about why I wanted to work for Mozilla and what I think of the Open Web. A few days later a second interview was scheduled with two members of the Necko Team (the Team I would join). The interview was quite long (about 50 minutes) and I got asked a lot of questions in different areas (c++, rust, network programming etc). The athmposphere was nice, but the questions were quite tough. At the end of the interview they said I will get informed within the next few days, but I never got an email. I asked if they've already decided after a week, and got an answer that they're still in the process. I find it very unfair to not get any response from a company, and it's quite sad that Mozilla is not able to inform every applicant about the status, even if they promise it in the interview!
