The whole process is great!
I met a technical recruiter at a career fair on campus. My background and education matched the job literally perfectly, so I got put on the go-ahead list!
The next and final step was a virtual interview. I had to prepare a presentation detailing a project I’ve done and my contributions to it. Luckily, I was able to detail a really cool project I’d started that is both impressive and exciting.
My interview time was over spring break, so I took to call from the Panama City Beach Public Library! LOL!
I’m going to put interview difficulty at “Average” simply because I had to prepare a 5-10 minute PowerPoint. This took time but was nowhere near as stressful or challenging as a CS technical interview. Though that may be primarily because I like public speaking.
The people here at MITRE rock and the corporation is set up really uniquely. Its design allows you to pick up projects that interest you. You can also pitch ideas to get funding from the corporation or sponsors. It’s not just something they say to attract you; it’s actually seemingly the lifeblood of the organization!
