I had an interview scheduled with this company, but the interviewer never showed up. I understand that unexpected things can happen, but what really stood out was the complete lack of follow-up or explanation afterwards. There was no apology, no rescheduling attempt and not even a quick email acknowledging the missed appointment.
Even if they had already decided to move forward with another candidate, a simple message to cancel or update me would have been the courteous and professional thing to do. Instead, they left me waiting for an interview that was never going to happen, showing a clear lack of respect for candidates’ time and effort.
This kind of experience reflects poorly on the company’s organisation and values. If this is how they treat prospective employees before they’re even hired, it raises serious concerns about how they might treat their staff internally. Candidates deserve at least basic communication and respect throughout the hiring process.
