I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lennar (Orlando, FL) in Mar 2018
Interview
The interview process was very painful, it basically is a panel interview style where you are put on the spot in front of 6 other interviewees and 6 interviewers. I consider this not professional and respectful towards a professional. It is almost like you are auditioning for American Idol or at a Beauty pageant. Very humiliating and really not worth your while. It's all about what you can offer them and when it comes to what they can offer you, they cover very little and offer very little information. After prying for answer post interview I found out you are not given a draw and you are paid like 11 an hour for the 6 week training then you get paid like $10 an hour for 8 months and then you are on your own with commission only. You have to give them 10 leads per week and work 24x7. You are not encouraged to take vacation, so basically you are signing up your life. So much for all that hard work on obtaining a Real Estate License, continuing education and all other fees that come with being a Realtor. I felt very depressed when I left from that interview. From 1 to 10, 10 being the best I would give this process a 1. Do yourself a favor and apply elsewhere, better yet don't let a builder rob you of your dream!
Interviewer was very rigid and not much personality. Was told at the end of the interview that she wanted me to interview with another sales manager as well and that her assistant would call me to schedule. I send a follow-up thank you email. After days of no response I email again, checking in, only to be told that they have limited space in that region. Crazy, why would you interview me if you have limited space?! Well, fast forward about a month and I had applied for the same position but in a different city. I get a phone call from the same person who did the phone interview the first time. She wants to set up a virtual interview with the same lady I interviewed with. I told her that is fine, but I did already interview with her. She said oh okay let me call her and see what her schedule is and I'll call you back tomorrow. No phone call. No email. Nothing. It has been almost 2 weeks now. I have emailed twice. Absolutely unprofessional behavior from this company.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lennar (Morrisville, NC) in Feb 2025
Interview
Exhaustive and discrimatory! I interviewed with a total of 6 people on 3 different occasions. The final round, I had to travel an hour. No smiles, no warmth in their greeting which was a first red flag. I met with their district leadership. After being asked the age of my daughter & how long ago I moved to NC to attend college, that was a classic age discriminating query and 2nd red flag. Nothing about the interview gave me the confidence that I'd be treated well, respected or even valued. It lasted over an hour before being told I essentially failed the caliper test and wasn't well suited for the role. Why ask me for a final interview if that was the case? I now feel sorry for the people who work for Lennar in sales. I hope the money is worth it!
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lennar (Las Vegas, NV) in Jan 2025
Interview
The process was easy but then again, they bought out the company I worked for. Usually there is an initial phone screen, I had 1 group interview then a one on one interview
