I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Invitae (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2020
Interview
Received an email from a recruiter at Invitae, scheduled a call to discuss a possible position , then was forwarded to another recruiter for another position. Lastly (or maybe it was the second to last in my case), brief zoom interview with the operational lead. It was a fast process overall. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. I was informed about their decision very soon after the interview. They made sure I received the info as soon as possible. I appreciated that they comforted me and explained why it didn't work and how sorry they were. I felt really important, valued, and confident after their talk despite their decision which was much appreciated.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about your background and how that fits to the position, are you independent/self-starter? , any multitasking skills? give example, what would your co-workers say about you?, describe yourself in couple of words. ((The whole process with each person felt more like a conversation between me and the interviewer rather than a constant Q/A . This was very encouraging.))
