      Client Services Manager Interview

      14 May 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      Declined offer
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Integral Ad Science (New York, NY) in Jun 2015

      Interview

Had the first initial interview with the talent director. He was experienced, straight forward, and on point. I thought I didn't do too well at first but my honesty got me pass the initial phone interview. I went on for in-person interviews and to meet with other client services managers. I first talked to the supervisor. She asked me to talk about myself and what I did. At times I was blankly staring towards her holding my resume, and noticed she started to cover up my resume and thought I was looking at it for reference. The other interviewers were about the same, asked me what I did in the past and my experiences, while the last interviewer was a bit more sarcastic. Most of them were in their mid to late 20s except the talent director. I think the overall interview was ok. I think I should've explained more on the technical details of my experiences, and perhaps avoid staring at my resume blankly while talking, with the supervisor, for any misunderstandings. The environment seemed nice, with an open office and young professional colleagues. My referral, who I've worked with described it as a great place to work. I was a bit sadden that it didn't work out as expected, but it was an experience for me as I've been doing work overseas for so long, thus perhaps need to get reacquainted with the cultural differences. I personally like to be interviewed by older folks who has been around. But the ad tech industry is full of young professionals now, which could be a good thing!

      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Integral Ad Science (London, England)

      Interview

I was contacted by a company representative directly over LinkedIn back in March for this role, after we exchanged correspondence and I sent them my CV they had invited me to have a telephone screening with HR. I have booked the telephone screening however they had forgotten about it and I had to reschedule it for the next day. During the screening it felt more like an interview, and I got the general impression from the get go I was not a right fit for this role as my experience is quite different. Left the telephone call feeling unsure - HR had said hey would check with the hiring manager if they would even consider me for an in person interview! At this point I was ready to throw in the towel, despite the fact they had come back a few days later to say they would like to invite me to their onsite offices in London. Feeling uncertain I decided to go anyway, met the hiring manager and the interview felt really relaxed (when I showed up at around 5 everyone was on the drinks) so this could be a nice place to work at. After feeling like the interview was a success I had reached out to the company for some feedback- which I never received after multiple emails asking them politely for. I guess at this point I realised I never actually got the role however I think it's very unprofessional to not give a candidate any sort of feedback whatsoever. Especially if you invited them for an in person interview in your officers And the fact they directly contacted me over LinkedIn for this opportunity- you would think there would be some more personal investment in me, but I guess not!

      Client Services Manager Interview

      29 Mar 2017

      Accepted offer

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Integral Ad Science (London, England) in Mar 2017

      Interview

Headhunted on Linkedin. Initial call from HR/Talent Scout: basic questions, what type of work you're interested in, background experience, what you know about IAS Invited to in-person interview at the office with two team leads: a lot of questions! Really getting to know what you are like to work with as well as what you can offer to them with your experience Next was an interview with the hiring manager. 1:1 interview asking similar questions from the initial interview and seeing if you're really fit for the team. Then a final video interview with VP of Professional Services in NY. Much more relaxed than expected which was nice. I think it's really nice that she wants to get to know all potential hires before going forward with it. All interviewers were highly professional and intelligent and took the time to answer all of my questions at the end. They also made clear what is expected of the role and how the office culture is. Had a great time meeting everyone + was offered the position, can't wait to start :)
