I met first for a phone interview with a recruiter who had reached out through LinkedIn. We discussed the position and worked together to determine whether it was a good fit with my experience, skills, and career goals. Having decided I was interested, I then provided a resume and completed an online application process. Several days later I was invited to a video interview with the CTO and a principal architect, who probed my technical knowledge and learned about my work style and philosophies. A third interview was also conducted over video, allowing me to meet the CIO and discuss the direction of the team I would be managing. An offer was later prepared, and I accepted.
