I have to note that during all of the phone interviews, the position was Director level. At no time was I informed of a change. At the interview, I could tell by the types of questions asked that the interview was for manager. Given my doubts about the face to face interview process I asked the HR rep if there was some misunderstanding. The rep merely said that the position had changed to manager. I was very unhappy about that and let the rep know that she should have notified me of the change and that I found the process was very unprofessional. I felt that the process was a bait and switch. I declined to continue the interview process after that initial onsite.
