Two calls, first to introduce myself, second was the technical and final interview. First was typical, tell me about yourself, etc. Second was pretty easy asking basic questions. They did have you try to basically put a table into a grid with dev tools but I wasn't able to share my screen without re-starting my computer. I was perfect for this job but was ghosted even though the HR/recruiter said she would get back to me.
I applied online. I interviewed at GreenSlate in Sept 2025
Interview
I applied for a Marketing Assistant position and was invited to a first-round video interview. The interview itself felt a bit rushed, but I stayed optimistic and appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the company.
At the end of the call, I was told I’d hear back within 2-3 days, which sounded promising. I also learned that the process would involve four total interview rounds — which seemed excessive for an entry-level role, but I was still excited to continue.
After a week passed with no update, I sent a polite follow-up email. Unfortunately, I never received a response or any further communication. It was a disappointing experience, especially after investing time and effort into preparing for the interview.
In 2025, there’s really no excuse for ghosting candidates who have already interviewed. It reflects poorly on the company’s professionalism and communication culture. In hindsight, I feel I probably dodged a bullet by not progressing further.

Question 1
How does your marketing experience relate to this position?
Overall, the interview process went well. The recruiter was friendly and knowledgeable. They explained the company, job, and interview process, and answered the questions I had prepared. I had a first round with the hiring manager, but was not selected. The process took less than 10 days from applying to first round with the manager.
