I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Goodyear (Akron, OH) in Apr 2012
Interview
Was contacted by a talent recruiter to fill out a candidate profile. Then was subject to GPA verification followed by a personality test. After the personality test an application was filled out followed by a phone interview. After the initial phone interview(could be skype interview) I was asked to attend an onsite interview. If you can get to this point you're a strong candidate. You have to shine here. The day started with a presentation from various chief engineers, followed by a plant tour, followed by lunch. Be as personable as possible. After lunch 2, hour long interviews will take place after which a group building exercise will take place. The interview questions can be quite difficult it would be beneficial to practice before hand. Good Luck
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Goodyear (Philipsburg, PA) in Oct 2019
Interview
I went to a STEM career fair and talked to the engineering specialist at their booth, he later gave me a call for a personal one on one interview at the fair.
I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Goodyear in Oct 2017
Interview
A lot of behavioral based questions, but rarely was asked about actually skills. They only cared about how you react to certain situations compared to problem solving. They had two separate panels (each were about 45 minutes) and they asked almost the exact same questions.
