Got messaged by GitHub recruiter over Linkedin. She said the hiring manager was familiar with the kind of work I did with my current company and it was like what they needed at GitHub. After the initial chat it was about a month before another recruiter called to followup and scheduled a phone interview then an onsite interview.

Question 1
As a young white male, how do you feel you can contribute to GitHub's diversity goals? There were a couple other questions about diversity. Everything else was typical software and data infrastructure stuff, and some security that I wasn't expecting, but felt my answers there were adequate.
