I applied online. I interviewed at George Mason University in Apr 2016
Interview
I applied online and got a phone interview. Four admissions members were on the phone, asking me my background in admissions, why George Mason, my strengths and weaknesses, my favorite part of admissions/why admissions, and then some Q&A. pretty straightforward
The interview process was organized, timely, and well done until after the final interview. Had an initial interview and then was asked to do an in-person interview with the admissions team. After that interview, they said that was the final stage, and asked me to complete an assignment, which I did promptly. Strangely, a nearly identical job posting was posted the next day (with the original job also still listed on their Careers website). I emailed the person who interviewed me to ask if this was indeed a separate role or if the original job had been sufficiently changed to warrant a new posting and application cycle. She never responded. Since then, there has been no contact, and on the application website, I am listed as no longer under consideration. I'm not really surprised that they ghosted me about the job I interviewed for- I'm annoyed, but it's not unusual. However, I am frustrated that my question about the other job was never answered. I don't know if it is worth applying to that one.
