I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Genworth in Jul 2020
Interview
Hands down the best interview experience i have had. The process was a little over 2 months from application to my first day. The recruiter expedited the process at every step and was knowledgeable , straightforward and helpful in preparing you for the next step. Lines of communication were kept open and the recruiter left a strong positive impression on me with how flawlessly he moved things along. It felt like we were working together to get things done and move the process along.
I applied online and the executive recruiter reached out 2 weeks afterwards.
I had:
1. A screening call with the recruiter.
2. A timed video interview with about 8 questions (2 attempts each). Know the job description, requirements, and Genworth to prepare for this.
3. A 30 minute call with HR rep which is really helpful in learning about the company, culture
and future.
4. A ~45 minute interview with team lead i would work closely with
5. A ~45 minute interview with technical lead
6. A 1 hour interview with hiring manager
All video face to face calls were scheduled on the same day which really helped move things along. All questions were situational to get a better understanding of how you resolve conflicts, work with teams, and deal with priorities. Some questions were canned but they were all relevant to the position. All interviews were more conversational, with no nonsensical, gotcha, puzzle questions.
A little over a week after interviewing, i got the offer and kicked off the background check/drug test which took a little over a week to clear. I started the week after.
