I had a VP for the company reach out to me about this position because she said she thought it would be a fit for my background. After reading reviews on the company I was nervous, but the position itself sounded great so I figured it was worth learning more.
I applied through the link she sent me directly and heard back pretty quickly regarding scheduling an interview. I scheduled it for later that week, did my research, and when the time came was all ready for my interview.
Ten minutes before our scheduled interview the VP I was originally in contact with emailed me saying a meeting was running long and asked when I could reschedule. The late notice seemed both annoying and unprofessional, but I understand things come up so I was going to let it slide.
We were scheduled for the end of day Friday, so Sunday evening I emailed her with my availability for the upcoming week (which was very open) so she’d see it when she got in on Monday. No response. I tried sending her another email three days later in case she missed mine since it was over the weekend, still nothing. Just under a week later I gave it one last attempt and still heard nothing back.
Finally the next week they sent me an email, not even from a person, but just a templated email from Greenhouse saying they decided not to proceed with my candidacy. Once again this is after they initially reached out to me, canceled on me last minute, and then never responded to my availability to reschedule when they were the ones who had asked for times I was available. Completely unprofessional way to deal with candidates and I will never consider working with them again. Being a recruiting firm they should have a much higher level of candidate experience.
