I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Frazer Computing (Canton, NY) in Jun 2014
Interview
Submitted cover letter and resume via email, immediately received a confirmation email from the employment officer stating that if they liked my resume, they would contact me within 3 business days for an interview. I received a call from the hiring officer within hours of the auto-reply email to schedule an interview. Interview day I spoke with the hiring officer for about 15-20 minutes, then the owner of the company. I was then invited to take a personality test and a SAT style Math/Verbal test (approx. 60-75 minutes long). After that I was told I would be contacted by the beginning of the next week with their decision. It is a very nice office, everyone is very friendly and seemingly happy. It is an open office situation with a variety of desks (traditional, standing, walking(!)) and everyone has 3 monitors.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"Why would you want this job after all the great things you have done before?"
Asked the basic interview questions then I had to take this SAT like test that has a personality portion. I understood being able to handle math and know certain vocab but not SAT level vocab.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Frazer Computing (Canton, NY) in Feb 2015
Interview
Interviewed with the manager/supervisor Kendra and it was a pretty relaxed interview. I also interviewed with Mike (the owner). He seemed more interested in my personality/interests than my technical ability.
The SAT style exam after the in person interview was difficult because I have not studied material like that since high school. There is also a personality test, which Frazer claims "there are no wrong answers" but why would they administer the test during the interview if the results are not used as a deciding factor for hiring?
