I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Huntsville, AL) in Jan 2014
Interview
Met with Asst. District Manager to discuss the opportunity. He followed their sales literature and described the opportunity from it. They had a recent history of a lot of turnover, so they were more lenient and maybe even desperate to get new agents. Their philosophy seems to be hire as many as they possibly can and see if anyone sticks.

Question 1
They asked about my ability to run a business vs. just being able to sell. They want to know your plan for building the agency and how you plan to staff it.
It was pretty good. I think it was great actually. So cool. It was a time I won't ever forget. How could I forget an interview that was for Farmer's insurance at this time in the world?
Yes it was okay and very interesting and had a lot of questions asked. It was time consuming and had lots to do with agent. At the same time it took a couple rounds.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Colorado Springs, CO) in Aug 2016
Interview
The interview process was very well organized and put together. We went into a conference room with lounge chairs and a TV screen. It opened with a few questions asking about me and what I knew about the company, then we moved to a slideshow presentation which talked a little about the history of the company and then talked about how to get paid and promoted, and finally closed with a few more questions about what I thought of the process, what I thought about the opportunity to work for Farmers Insurance and finally Why should we hire you as an Agent. Overall I was very happy with the entire process.
