Interviewed with them over phone.
It was a technique screening for a software engineer position located in San Jose, CA. The interviewer was incredibly unprofessional and kept asked me all sorts of non-tech questions.
He first asked me where I was, if I were in my company while taking the phone interview, or at home. I later found out that he happened to work for my current employer a couple of years back.
Then he asked what was name of my current manager. After he failed to recognize my manager's name, the interviewer continued to ask my director's name, then failed to recall that name again. Then asked my VP's name, finally SVP's name. Unfortunately he recognized none of the names I provided.
He proceed to ask about my visa status as a foreigner in the country, how long the visa would last and what my plan was after the work permit expired. I felt like this isn't the questions to be asked in a tech interview, but answered anyway.
It was a one hour phone screen and those non-tech questions took half an hour before we moved onto a coding question. We used some online collaborate coding tool. He pasted the question and told me he had to leave now. That I should finish the question within half an hour and email the solution code to him. Then he hang up.
I coded the question and emailed him the answer about 15mins after the call ended. And 2mins after that I had a rejection letter from the recruiter in my mail box.
I am utterly shocked by how unprofessional the whole process is and how rude the interviewer is.
