I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Discover (Phoenix, AZ) in Oct 2014
Interview
There was a happy hour event, a couple in-person interviews (on the same day), and then a full day event of interviews at headquarters with group panels and more personal interviews. You needed a little bit of knowledge in finance, but nothing major. They had a couple questions throughout the process about hypothetical situations in the company - but those were usually more related to management as opposed to finance.

I applied online. I interviewed at Discover (Houston, TX) in Jan 2025
Interview
hackerrank for 75 min, 15 min recruiter screen, 45 technical (going through your hackerrank; make sure to explain your coding thought process) and behavioral interview. Asking questions like what drew you to discover and where’d you hear about the opportunity.
I had 2 rounds of interviews (I believe that 3 is the new standard). For both interviews, it was really easy to speak with the recruiter and share my experience.
