I was introduced via warm intro to the internal recruiter from the existing Sales Director at the firm. Had a short 20 minute phone screen with the Junior Recruiter who agreed I was highly qualified and moved me straight to the VP. The VP is remote, not actually living in Boston where the Sales office is located (red flag #1). The call with the VP went about 40 minutes and I had a lot of questions. The VP agreed I was qualified and said the next steps would be another phone interview, but this time with the Head Recruiter, expect to hear from someone "in a few days". I circled back in an email with the VP one week later, since I had not heard from the recruiter. 2 weeks has gone by and.... <crickets> NO response from anyone in the firm, no turn down note, just nothing-- pretty unprofessional! So that's how they treat management candidates.
Important to note: the sales management team there is very young, 30 or under. If you're not in that age group, you're probably not a fit.
