First, they scheduled a 30-minute interview with the recruiter. The recruiter gave some detail about the company. The recruiter said that they have a single pipeline for the interview process. It is possible to have an offer for a different position and team based on interviewers' feedback. The recruiter was in a hurry which made me nervous. There are at least four steps in the interview process. 1. Tech screening with a live coding exercise. 2. Take-home assignment 3. 3-hour interview, which consists of live coding exercise, take-home assignment review, system design interview. 4. Hiring manager interview One week later, they scheduled the tech screening step with an engineering manager. At the interview first 10 minutes, we talked about my past experiences. After that, the manager asked two coding questions. I solved one without any problem. I spend some time and made multiple iterations to solve the other problem. The manager told me that my solution would fail with extreme cases. Also, this manager was constantly huffing and puffing and was not listening to what I was saying. The manager seemed to be forced to attend the interview. One day later, I received an email that I failed in this step, and they wish me good luck with my job search. I asked for some detailed feedback, but of course, there is no answer. I think they expect a perfect solution in the first iteration.
