I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Darden (Phoenix, AZ) in Apr 2008
Interview
I had applied because a former colleague recommended the company to me. Over the course of the four and a half month interview process, I believe that I had nine interviews with three different people. A few weeks would pass and I'd get called to another interview. Toward the end, I had gotten upset and had asked the person on the phone to please explain their interview process to me. The conversation went from an invitation to my tenth interview to a request for a drug test. Fortunately, I was employed elsewhere during this process.

Question 1
Honestly, there weren't any difficult questions. Some situation based behavioral questions.
They ask you to do a video. This will require you do record yourself without knowing who’s watching you. They let you retake the video is you mess up on it.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Darden (Columbus, GA) in Nov 2017
Interview
My initial interview with human resources started off awkwardly as he said that he's not going too interview me, just had be a conversation. At the end, I was told that I'm overqualified and asked if I would even like to proceed. (Very discouraging) After my second interview with an Olive Garden GM and director of operations I was excited for the first time. That interview went well and I was told that I'll be contacted by HR "by tomorrow" with an offer. I was sent an auto generated email one week later. It felt like unorganized and like my time was not respected. I would not work for them in my local market.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Darden (Austin, TX) in Mar 2016
Interview
The interview was Short and to the point. I met with the Director of Operations in Olive garden in Austin, Tx and we immediately hit it off like we were old pals. The key is always finding something common with the other person or a group of people. It establishes likability and trust and opens up and relaxes a person. People are most vaunerable when their guard is down and thats when you present your case and win them over.
