It was an assessment centre with a group task, technical interview and a tour of the site. Before that I submitted an application online it was a CV and cover letter.
Simple process with a few technical questions and then a couple presentations, one about yourself and another topic of your choice preferably on engineering project that you have done or are interested in.

Had a telephone call. It was 45 minutes long. first general sections and 2 technical questions in the end. not very difficult. more about the approach and not the information.

I interviewed over the phone and then did one in person interview. I asked alot of questions and was excited which I believe helped me to get the internship.
