I got the interview invite for the role of digital product management intern in December and the Interview was scheduled to happen in January. I was all excited and prepared for the interview, but I day before the interview, the recruiter canceled the interview giving the reason that there is a hiring freeze and they can't move ahead in the process. All doomed about the situation, I requested them to at least keep me on file for future process/hiring, to which they agreed and said they will definitely do that. A week later I received an email confirming that they have moved on with some other candidate and my qualifications were not selected this time. What kind of plot was this? Firstly I was lied to about the hiring process freeze and then the email. The firms expect us to be all professional, honest, and goal-oriented, and on the other hand tricks like these are pulled out on the applicants who are seeking jobs/internships with all their faith.
