Terrible experience. After applying through my school website, I was contacted and invited to a phone interview. They cancelled and rescheduled the interview twice.
Prior to the first interview (when I finally did have it), I was contacted and asked to complete a technical excel document analyzing some data. I was told that the phone interview would last between 15 and 45 minutes, and I would answer questions regarding the excel exercise. When the HR rep called me, she asked me only behavioral questions that I was somewhat unprepared for since I was told the questions would relate to the excel doc. The interviewer told me that I should have been more prepared and knowledgeable about Carnival, even though I had done extensive research relating to the excel questions. Again, I was never asked about my excel doc during this first interview. They scheduled a second phone interview, which the HR rep said would actually relate to the data.
The second interview was technical; I was asked to explain my findings from the excel doc and answer some business strategy type questions. I felt that this interview went well, and I was very prepared to answer these questions. They said they would contact me within 7 days, but never got back to me.
After cancelling my interview twice, providing incorrect details about the phone interview process, and never getting back to me after 2 follow up emails, this has been one of the worst interview processes I have gone through. I spent a couple hours completing their excel document and never even got a call back or even an email. Very disappointing, and ultimately I am glad I didn't end up working for them in the long run.
