I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capgemini (London, England) in Dec 2010
Interview
After applying online for for the graduate scheme in early November I was asked to complete online SHL assessments 2 weeks later. Completing this I was contacted a further 2 weeks later by email to confirm I would be contacted for a telephone interview to be arranged in the next few days. Waiting another week I contacted their recruitment services to chase this up and was simply told they were really busy, though following this I was contacted and had the telephone interview lined up (and then another interviewer called me several times to set up another accidentally?).
Having set an interview date for mid-December I planned for the interview and then went ahead with what was an odd an slightly uncomfortable process - with the interviewer clearly reading out scripted questions for each section (4 main questions to assess knowledge of company, key skills, motivation etc) and long pauses when he typed up all of my answers.
The most bizarre question was after being informed at the end of the call that assessment centre's happen at any time before September and being asked if I was busy at any time before then. Maybe it's just me but to be asked whether there are any dates I'm unavailable over the next 10 months was a little peculiar...

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Capgemini
Interview
My experience with Capgemini's interview process was very structured and candidate-friendly. The interviewers were polite and focused only on the skill sets mentioned in the job description.
The questions were mainly from my domain - QA, SQL, requirement understanding, and Agile methodology.
Most topics were standard and easily available for preparation online, so if you know your basics well, the process feels very smooth. Overall it felt more like a discussion about real project work rather than tricky questions.
