I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at British Airways (Heathrow, England) in Nov 2017
Interview
I had wanted to attendant the assessment day for quite some time but had always put it off applying due to waiting for a tattoo to be removed so when I finally got my chance to go I was extremely nervous despite having worked for another airline and having a good idea of what the day would be like when you get to Waterside I am not going to lie it did make me more nervous because you realise how much you want it. Waterside is beautiful a really nice building with plants and comfortable seating it has a nice relaxing vibe to it. First off you sign and fill out your basic details then you give in your documents the ladies at reception were lovely. After that you go and do your reach test if you are a few extra pounds or right on the height requirement do not worry I am 5.4 and had no trouble reaching the emergency slide pull am also a good size 16 and had no trouble fitting into the jump seat. Once you have done that you go back to the waiting area and wait to be called to do your role play exercise this was the part I was most nervous about but as long as you be yourself and remember the information that you read on the card you will be fine and if you slip up do not worry just keep going. After that you then go on to do your group task be prepared to concentrate and listen to the task at hand you then negotiate with your team a proposal & budget again just be yourself if your naturally good at working as a team or communicating with other people you will be fine. Ok after this was the dreaded elimination phase of the day I am not going to lie this part is incredibly tense despite the recruiters making a lot of effort to make us feel relaxed its just one of those things where naturally you will be on edge and when the majority of the other candidates names were called I was almost certain I was going home myself and the other eight candidates went through to another room where we were told we were staying for the 2.1 interviews it really is like being on X factor and being told your going through to judges houses hehe! That is the best way I can describe it. Can I just also say also before the name list was called out we all had to sign out on our document return slip if you sign that it does not mean that you are going home it is just you singing to say you have received your documents back so do not worry. So the last part of the day the 2,1 interview is conducted by STAR method so I would strongly recommend having a think before hand about situations based on your true life experiences lastly sit up smile and just be yourself I wont lie as nice as the recruiters are the 2.1 interview is pretty tough I had done so much research on British Airways facts and about the company but the way the questions are asked they might be cut as your are answering them to either discuss more on your answer or move on to the next I did not get to say half of the stuff I wanted to say about why I wanted to work for BA which I lost a bit of sleep over after... I need not have worried though as after a nervous 9 day wait I was over the moon when got an email saying I had been successful. Even if I would not of received the offer I still had a wonderful day the interview is great experience other candidates and recruiters were lovely all in all a positive day now looking forward to starting my new career with British Airways.

Easy and friendly people. Did an online interior. Breakout rooms for one on one sections. Asked to read a sheet then asked questions about my experience. How I have handled previous situations. Used star formula went very well.

Interview
A long day, but assessors helped us feel at ease throught the process. The two interviewers had different styles which helped the interview flow. The wait for an offer was the most nerve-racking part.
