I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Booking.com
Interview
Applied through linkedIn, got an email saying they want to do a follow up over the phone.
after three or four days someone from HR contacted me, we talked for about 20 minutes about my experience and my knowledge in different technologies as well about my willingness to relocate to Amsterdam.
At the end she said she would like send me a task to preform and send back the solution.
it was pretty basic, getting a Javascript array, sorting it and displaying it in HTML, clicking on a link would retrieve more info from the array.
i got an answer a day later that it was great and they would like to schedule a technical interview with two developers.
The interview started with questions about my background, and quickly moved to technical questions, it took about 40 minutes.
I was also required to give suggestions on how i can think their site can be improved.
They give you zero feedback about your answers, and they are pretty robotic.
sadly i got a negative response 2 days later.
If someone would have bothered to write more questions that he was asked maybe i could have prepared better!!!!!!

They insist on a Hackerrank test before you get to speak with a single human being. Even though I have references and more than 20 years of experience. I worked for companies like Apple and other FAANG companies, and still, I was required to do a very impersonal and nonsensical Leetcode test.
So, I simply replied to the person who sent me that automated message and suggested an actual call first.
It was at this moment that Booking decided I was not a cultural fit.

There wasn’t anything specific in the interview. The hardest challenge was to understand the interviewers accent. I suggest you to turn on the subtitles. The entire things are really basic
