I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Bankers Life (Timonium, MD) in Jan 2012
Interview
The interview process is really two stages. The first is done with around 15 applicants and is mainly a briefing on the company and their own business ethics and practices. At the end of the briefing there is a short essay format questionnaire on what you expect from the company and what you bring to the table. If they like your answers, and the way you composed yourself in the briefing, you will be called back for a one on one interview.
The one on one interview was a standard job interview, talking about what is expected, why you want the position, etc. There is another questionnaire and another short briefing, this time with far few applicants.

Interview
I applied online through one of the popular job search websites. I received a phone call and an email from a recruiter, James Randall. After the phone screen I was invited to a interview with a manager Nita. Upon arriving to Bankers Life, I was greeted by the receptionist whom directed me to a room full of other candidates (20+) that will be directed by a different manager, Kevin Bright. I was very upset that I was led to believe that I was having a 1 to 1 interview instead of the "group introduction".
I figure that I will sit through the hour long sales pitch since I have drove 20 miles. What a waste of time. STAY AWAY from these people. They want you to pay for your licensing and they want you to purchase their "prep kit" for $100. The total out of pocket is well over $300 they want you to spend for a 100% commission job. On top of everything, you will be a 1099 employee without any benefits. Steer clear of this scam. They promise you the world with earnings over $100k first year based off a MLM pyramid scheme.

Interview
Got a call to do an in person interview, which was watching a powerpoint in a group setting and learning more about the company and what the position would entail. Afterwards, the person who conducted the informational powerpoint asked if we had any questions and was very kind about answering all of them.

Interview
Group interview/presentation. Was never told the interview would be held in a group setting. The interview was also not an interview but a presentation about the company. They make you pay for you licensing up front and say they will reimburse you after you have been working there for a period of time. After the presentation was over they ask everyone to fill out questionnaires and asked everyone if they would like a second interview.
