I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Apple (San Jose, CA) in Oct 2009
Interview
I interviewed with the Store Manager for a comparable position. Standard interview ?s, just the the thing that stuck out was how disinterested he seemed in being there. He was late to interview and did not appear to be in the store earlier in the day. He was one of the most arrogant people I have ever interviewed with and asked the most ludicrous questions repeatedly. The managers of these stores seem more interested in their egos than hiring a diverse and qualified staff.
I applied online. I interviewed at Apple (New York, NY)
Interview
The interview process was structured and professional. It started with a brief phone screening where basic questions about experience and leadership style were discussed. After that, I had an in-person interview with a senior manager focused on customer service approach, team management skills, and problem-solving in stressful situations. The atmosphere was calm but slightly formal, and the interviewer paid close attention to real-life examples.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The main question was: “How would you handle a situation where a team member consistently underperforms despite coaching and feedback?”
Quick and effective with lots of time to answer questions. Comfortable setting. Nice air conditioning. Good lighting. Kind people. I need 30 words for a free account. Not there yet. But close.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Apple
Interview
Was told I wasn't "Apple Enough", I answered everything to the best of my ability. They want people who are absolute Apple loyalists. I tried to not fan boy out and play it cool. that was not the correct approach.
