I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ameriprise (Las Vegas, NV) in Apr 2015
Interview
Multiple Phone Interviews with HR and then Senior Management. They were very precise on how you were talking during the interview. i.e. energy levels and communication skills. This makes sense as the job was primarily talking to clients on the phone and working with them to make sure that they are satisfied and understand the purpose of the call.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ameriprise (San Jose, CA) in Aug 2020
Interview
Typical but had to answer mathematic and computing questions. It wasn't difficult but it did throw me for a loop. I would suggest knowing your %'s prior to this interview. Otherwise basic customer service and administrative experience is great.

The hiring process is exhaustively long for an entry level job. It should not take 6+ weeks to make a hiring decision. Only apply here if you’ve got time to wait around.
