2 phone interviews and 2 face to face interviews. Became very cagey when I asked about benefits only to learn that the company does not provide benefits. Also very guarded with respect to salary expectations and what their top performers are earning.

Recruiter reaches out to you and talks to you about your skills and experience. They'll ask you what you want in your next position as far as job, salary, culture, etc. You'll go in for in an person interview with your recruiter and discuss opportunities. If they have an opportunity, they will set up an interview for you which was very easy.
