It was a long time ago and very casual, just me and the soon-to-be foreman and the suoervisor plus someone from Personnel Dept as it was then known. Wanted to know what I had done and could I do the job, fairly sinple really

They asked if I wanted to be the manager of the place at some point in the future which seemed a strange question to someone applying for a 'shop-floor' position.
